This is not your typical Venture Capital Analyst position. We are looking for a rare talent—an early-career professional (a recent graduate or someone with up to one year of experience) who is an AI Native, a builder at heart and a sharp analytical thinker. You are on the bleeding edge of generative models, not just as a user, but as a creator. You understand how to chain together LLMs, leverage APIs, and build functional tools that solve real-world problems. We’ve already begun this journey with the creation of 'Iva', our proprietary AI deal pre screening analyst. Your mission is to join the team and help us build out a full suite of AI tools that completes our firm's AI native operating system.

This role is a unique, three-phase journey:

1. Learn the Craft: You will be immersed in the world of venture capital, learning the analyst role from the ground up to understand the problems Iva and future tools need to solve.

2. Reinvent the Playbook: You will take what you’ve learned to dramatically expand our AI capabilities. This means enhancing Iva, building new systems from scratch, and systematically automating the entire investment workflow using our proprietary database of over 8,000 companies.

3. Become a Force Multiplier: You will also take your expertise on the road! Helping our portfolio is a key mission of ours. You will work directly with our portfolio companies, acting as a strategic AI consultant to help them integrate cutting edge AI solutions into their own operations.

This is the craft you will learn. You'll be immersed in the core functions of a venture capital firm to understand exactly what we do, before you reinvent how we do it.

• Deal Screening & Analysis: Work alongside our AI, 'Iva', to perform analysis and conduct comprehensive deal screens on prospective portfolio companies. You'll also record and summarize all interactions and findings in our deal flow management system.

• Research & Due Diligence: Conduct strategic primary and secondary research on new companies and relevant industries, summarizing your findings in concise and impactful reports.

• Investment Memos & LP Communications: Build professional presentations and prepare detailed, AI augmented investment memos for the partnership. You will also aid in communications with our Limited Partners.

• Portfolio Support: Meet regularly with our portfolio companies to assist in their strategic development and understand their challenges.

• Market Intelligence: Stay updated on emerging technologies and global Fintech trends to provide new data for our AI systems and identify new investment theses.

• Content & Reporting: Collaborate in creating content for Impression Ventures, assist in publishing thought leadership, and write AI-assisted quarterly reports.

• AI Engine Development: Take ownership of and enhance 'Iva', our existing AI Analyst, while developing and deploying a broader suite of proprietary tools built upon our internal database of over 8,000 companies.

• Iva Enhancement: Improve Iva's core deal screening and analysis models to increase accuracy and uncover deeper insights.

• New Tool Creation: Build new modules and capabilities from the ground up, such as tools for automated due diligence, portfolio monitoring, market trend prediction, and an internal knowledge base of best practices.

• Predictive Benchmarking: Create systems that benchmark new companies against our vast dataset of historical performance to identify outliers and predict success.

• AI Research & Innovation: Stay at the absolute forefront of AI advancements by experimenting with new models and techniques to ensure our toolkit remains best-in-class.

• Team & Portfolio Training: Train the Impression Ventures team and our portfolio
companies on how to best leverage Iva and other proprietary AI tools.

• A Natural Builder: You have a portfolio of projects that demonstrates your ability to build functional applications using AI.

• Technically Proficient: You possess strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and have hands-on experience with modern AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI API, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, Hugging Face).

• Passionate about Fintech: You have a genuine, deep seated passion for technology, startups, and the future of finance.

• A Structured Thinker: You can break down complex problems and communicate your findings with clarity and conviction.

• A Proactive Self-Starter: You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy.

• A recent graduate or an individual with up to one year of professional experience, holding a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
